Our school year runs from September-May each year, and our students remain in the same class for the duration of the school year. We begin in house registration in January for the following school year, and open online registration to the public in February.

*A note about class assignments: When we make our class lists, we put the enrolled students in order of their Birthdays, and do our best to split them into the appropriate number of groups from there. This means that we are unable to make any promises about class or Teacher placements. Please rest assured that all of our Teachers are AMAZING, and that our students make wonderful new friendships within their classes. We appreciate your understanding.

FAQ's

  • What curriculum is used? We use Creative Curriculum, as well as implementing elements from Montessori systems, and taking the children's interests into account as well. State standards are met in every classroom, and can be reviewed on the Form Central page.

  • What if my child isn't potty trained yet? Talk to us! It is always better to enroll and make sure you have a spot. Many times school is a wonderful motivator for children who are not quite there, and the expectation from staff that they will go on their own, often produces surprising results! If you reach July or August and it just isn't happening-please email us! Every child is different and we would love to talk it out with you.

  • What are the bathroom expectations at school? Every child must be able to fully use a standard sized bathroom independently. Our center is not licensed for diapering, which means our staff does not assist inside the stall, and cannot assist with wiping. There will always be a staff member present with the child in the bathroom, and they can assist with the occasional tough pants button or snap, and hand washing etc. Each child must keep a change of clothes in their tote bag in case of accidents, no matter the age.

  • What are the Speech expectations at school? Each child must be able to clearly and verbally communicate basic physical needs. This can mean "I have to go potty" ; "My tummy hurts"; "I'm thirsty" etc. These things are important factors in making sure all of our students are safe and can adjust to a new environment.

  • If my child has a birthday in the middle of the year, do they switch classes or programs? Nope! We believe an important part of early education is building good classroom rapport, and fostering relationships between students and staff throughout the school year. Whatever classroom your child is assigned to in September will be where they stay until May.

  • Why is there not a 5 day option? While we take great pride in challenging our students and watching how much they can soak up, we believe ultimately in letting children be children for as long as possible. Every child does learn at a different pace, but we have consistently found that our 4 day program, or 3 extended days will be enough to get them ready for Kindergarten, especially when partnered with at home learning! Our greatest advice is to start them at 3 years old! 2-3 years of growing academically, socially, and emotionally is the best advantage you can give to a child getting ready to enter school.
